Watch this space for the latest news about Axis Health Hubs.
Axis Health Hubs has been actively involved with ‘Animating Assets’ - a collaborative action research programme supported by the Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH) and the Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) that aims to test asset-based approaches to improving community health and wellbeing.
Barmulloch and Balornock is one of the four communities in Scotland taking part. This video gives a short account of the experience told by people that were all active participants in the process and who are community members, volunteers, Board members or staff of small community based organisations in the area. The work has been funded by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The Axis Health Hub Event was held on Wednesday 17th June at The Renfield Centre in Glasgow. The event showcased some of the programmes and activities that have been delivered, and which continue to support health improvement for local people and communities across seven areas in North East and North West Glasgow. The event was well attended by service users, local organisations and representatives from our funders and allowed us to share success stories, and learn how to improve our programmes.
